Toy Spotlight - Lego Series 8 Blind Bags!

So I have a bit of a personal vendetta against the series 8 blind bagged Santa. I'm determined to get him through blind bags! Anyway I bought a few more packs tonight while at the store. Unfortunately no Santa =(

I did however get this awesome Knight! (whats up with the pretzel guy?)

And also scored this cool ass pirate! Gotta love the hook for a hand and peg leg!

The other guys were kind of "eh". Either way I'm still after that Santa!

Toy Spotlight - Lego Blind Bags

So as I mentioned a few posts back I was in a Lego Store not too long ago.  I really wanted that R2 but oh well. So today I was out picking up some bins to store my soon to be taken down Christmas decorations and came across these guys....

I had heard about these blind bag mini figures but had yet to buy any. I got the last two they had hoping for Santa from series 8 and the Knight from series 7. I got neither : (
Here are the two I got -

The business man with the news paper on the left is from series 8 while the coffee shop hipster guy is from series 7.  I truthfully got each of the guys from both series that I wanted the least.Oh well. I'd like to start a mini fig collection because they are so cool. Who knows.

I'll wrap up with a few really cool mini figures I've had for a while that I just recently pulled out of my storage bin for this post. I picked them up when I was on a big Lego Indy kick after playing the game for Xbox. "They belong in a museum!" ....or at least my shelf for a while!

The Lego Store!

So this last weekend my wife and I braved the post Christmas crowds and headed out to the King of Prussia mall(anyone who knows this mall knows its massive). We had gift cards to spend and a few returns to make. We wandered together for a while but after having spotted a comic store and a Lego Store (didn't even know this existed) on the directory I knew at some point I'd need to sneak off on my own for a bit. Finally my wife wanted to browse in some gigantic clothing store for women....this was my chance! I said "sure! Take all the time you need". She gave me a "what are you up to look" and went on her way. I headed straight for section "G" to check out this Lego Store. It was awesome! I couldn't believe how cool some of the sets and minifigs were! They had a massive B Wing and R2-D2 in the store window display as well as other awesome sets inside. I didn't know Lego had the TMNT license. I was sooooo close to buying the R2. I had it down off the shelf in my hands but ultimately decided the 180$ price tag was just too much :(

I am however considering beginning a small mini figure collection as they are super cool and are making some of my favorite characters from Star Wars to Super Heroes and more! Here's a few pics I snuck in ..... All the little kids watching the biggest kid of all!
