Pop Culture League - First Quarter

For this week's assignment it's "First Quarter: What is your earliest arcade or video game memory?"
I think the best approach for this would be a photo blog......

Dinner here....

Soda from these...

Quarters in this!
As for my first video game experience (I'm about to date myself) it would be memories playing these two games on the floor in front of my old knob TV on my Atari....

So those are my earliest memories of arcades and video games. I, of course, went on to love the classic NES titles along with many from SEGA as well (like Golden Axe). Everything was better back then and video game entertainment was no exception!
Be sure to check out the other "firsts" from around the Pop Culture League!

  1. I did not even think about home systems. Instead of Space Invaders my first memory would have to be Pong then...
Pitfall was always my favorite Atari game, Great piece.

  3. I loved Pizza Hut! I also have fond memories of Peter Pipper Pizza and the Mario Brothers arcade. I'm not really sure what my earliest memory is though... Probably Super Mario Brothers for NES. I could really go for some pizza right now.

  5. Pizza Hut used to be THE place to go for pizza back in the days when it focused on sit down dining as opposed to "rush" delivery. I remember my local Pizza Hut had a pizza and salad buffet that it served at lunch.

    1. Totally agree. Everything was more of an experience as opposed to instant everything now....

  8. Video games and pizza! The Pizza Hut in my home town only had two video games, but the "Pizzano's" had an entire mini-arcade with tons of games. Eating Pizza and playing video games was very much a part of my junior high years.
