LOEB - Shelf Expression

This week's assignment from the League - "Shelf Expression". I love a good picture assignment so lets get to it!

So to start out I arranged a quick display of a few of my favorite items from the main 3 collections I have. I love Super Powers, Masters of the Universe and of course Star Wars! Left to right on the bottom are a 12 back He-Man from 1983, an AFA cased/displayed mail away Boba Fett that kids received back in '79 (before Empire Strikes back was released), and one of my all time favorite characters from MOTU, Orko! The top shelf has a 2nd series Batman (23 back 1985) and a 1st series Superman (12 back 1984). I absolutely love these toys and enjoy the hell out of collecting them!

 

I also wanted to include a few photos of a shelf showing a display I actually have (not one I pieced together). This is the left half of the window ledge above my desk in my man cave. It's got all of my remaining childhood toys on it! I've got some other new stuff there like the two variations of the MOTU classics Orko (like I said, I love Orko)  and the new MOTU minis because they're just too cool to pass up!

Here is the right half of the same ledge. That is one of my all time favorite photos of me, my brother, and my mom. I'm Superman! I've also got some random Real Ghostbusters ghosts and some random 80s goodness. I love that ET lamp!

We had that exact lamp back in the 80s except this one had a pole for a shade and all! I wish my mom saved that!
